Hello!
I've gone back into a 'draw people' phase! I'm practising sketching bodies in lots of different positions (sounds weird...they're all fully clothed, promise!) , today I want to share a dancing girl I have created for my DT turn over at A Sprinkle Of Imagination.....
Yep, you'll have to pop on over to see the whole thing! :)
She is now live over on the ASOI blog HERE
Have a lovely day!

Our Creative Corner: May Challenge time!
Hello!
It's the first of the month, so that means it's a new challenge over at Our Creative Corner
Shari is our host this month....
April Showers bring May Flowers
...Or
so the proverb goes. Spring comes late in my neck of the world, in the
mountains of Northern Idaho. In the month of May (with Summer just
weeks away), our Spring flowers are still, usually, under a thin blanket
of snow, until those Spring rains wash it all away.
This month, the challenge is to
create something, a mixed-media project, a journal page, a scrapbook
page, a card or tag...Anything, that reflects the Spring rains and/or
Spring flowers in your part of the world.
Now, I'm not going to nit-pic your choices of Spring flowers, as the growing season here where I live is short and our Spring flowers don't last very long before the blooms of Summer start budding. So, if you throw in flowers of Summer into your creation, that's OK, too.

Our wonderful sponsor this month is:
Ryn is offering a lucky winner an unmounted sheet of one of her most popular designs (Water Effects 1) and three of her stencils. This is a prize worth $50!
So, what have I created?
Well, I have a confession to make....I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to complicated themes, or really any theme which requires a lot of deep thought lol! Create instinctively without too much thought, that's how I roll :)
So.... I read the theme and just latched onto two things, showers and flowers! A girl with a brolly and a big flower kind of evolved from that...
I created a canvas, with some stencilled texture in the background. (Bit too big for raindrops really, but that was kind of the idea!)
The canvas was painted with blues and a touch of turquoise. As its a box canvas, there are lovely deep edges to decorate too...
The lady (Art Journey) was stamped, cut out then glued down. As always, if you are including a figure in your work it's always a plan to have something for them to stand on, so they don't look like they are suspended in mid air!
My flower is made from stamped petals, glued together than glazed for a glossy look. The stamps are from the wonderful Carabelle Studios, and were stamped onto rainbow painted cardstock before I cut them out and stuck them down...
I hope you will pop on over to Our Creative Corner today to have a look at the other projects created by the DT, and then why not have a go and enter! We would love to see your art!
See you soon,
love Trish xxx
