WOYWW156....ATC swap day!!!

Woooooo! I love ATCs....so this week is going to be so much fun!!!
Whats On You Workdesk Wednesday is three today, and to celebrate we're having an ATC swap!
The show and tell of desks continues though, so.....
My desk this morning.....
Whats that big piece of art on there? its the masterboard for my ATCs! I decided to make more than one to trade, so I made a large background so I could cut lots from it. Close up of what it looks like now, before images and words are added....

So........ if I end up trading with you, you can compare to see if you can figure out which bit of this you've ended up with!!! Hours of fun........ :)
This A4 sheet will make nine ATCs, which means I have 8 extra. I would love to trade these extra ATCs with anyone who wants to swap!!! If you want to swap, please could you let me know in a comment on this post? I'll choose 8 at random, and contact those 8 to swap addresses with before the end of today (British time!)
Can't wait, this is going to be so much fun!
Julia over at Stamping Ground is our host for this most fabulous of blog hops, so go on over to see all the fun!!!
Happy WOYWW everyone!

woyww 155!

Morning!!
Did you see that whirlwind? you know, the one that took lots of 'stuff' up into the air then let it land any old way all over my desk?? that whirlwind? no? oh. That must mean it was just me making a large mess then...............
For those who have said before that i'm a neat and tidy crafter..nope....
Wider shot that normal to show you that i'm a messy crafter after all!!! This side of my studio looks like this most of the time! In the middle of all of that is the current project, my latest design for Beads and Beyond magazine. I'm figuring its too far away to see anything properly so I can show you!!!
THANK YOU for all of the suggestions for my Jubilee themed make from last week. Still not 100% happy with the front, but i like the back so I'll show you that instead!
This is the reverse side to the stuck down napkin background, I've just collaged a whole load of images and stencils onto it! Lots of fibres, and the end of my bunting string!
Please hop on over to the hostess with the mostess Julia , add your name and start the fabulous blog hop that is Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Dabbling With Distress....

Or, more class samples!
Just finished the latest batch of samples for upcoming classes, so thought I'd share!
This class is called Dabbling with Distress, we'll be spraying, splatting, staining, dying, stamping and stencilling using Distress Inks!

Basically, a 'throw the kitchen sink at it' type thing!! Not a scrapbook sized page (this is 21cm by 21cm), but could easily be adapted to fit that size if you wanted!
Lots of detail in the background...
We will be staining fabric to make flowers....
Even making out own pearl hatpins.....
Fabulous excuse to get very very inky indeed!!!
The class is on Saturday 9th June, places are limited so if you are interested please click on the Windmill Craft centre link in my sidebar for all the details!

WOYWW 154

Happy Wednesday!
Short and sweet this week as I don't have much to show you... more a plea for advice!
You know when you confidently say "oh yes, i can do that...." and then realise halfway through that maybe you um...well.... can't? The 'thing' you can see on the desk today is the start of a London/Jubilee project. I like it so far (paper napkins on chipboard with a wash of gesso over to tone the colour down) but now I'm a bit stuck. I know there will be crowns and bunting, and I have plenty of images........but can't seem to get started!! Any ideas folks?
hope you all have a fab Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday.......and please pop over to the hostess with the mostess Julia to start the most fun blog hop of the week!

Gingham flower tag

This is the matching tag to the card I made as this weeks DT piece over at Calico Crafts.

The card can be found HERE over on the Calico Crafts blog!
Different coloured gingham, but the same technique for the flower....
Wound around on a circle of card, just stuck using double sided tape, then a text circle for the centre. The tag itself has been simply inked, stamped and splattered with gold Krylon to get that speckly effect.
Lots of layers, lots of texture. Hope you like it!!

WOYWW153!!

Good morning!!!
Bit ashamed of my desk this week........ I was missing in action doing craft stuff elsewhere last week, so my desk today looks exactly as it did ten days ago!!!!I'm going to rectify that this morning, but until then here is what it looks like..........
The remains of a painty session...what else!!!
The creation that was being made was this....
My Disco Diva chunky wood ATC!! Front angle so you can see my diva properly......
I made the wood base and all the extra bits 10 days ago, then took her to my crafty session and glued them all together there...... as you will see in the coming months....(!!!!!)
This was a show and tell piece, all about how paint can be used on different surfaces, i.e wood and metal. The ATC is wood, of course, but I wrapped it in foil tape around the edges to give me the embossed word to decorate....
(chipboard letters were stuck to the wood before the tape went on, then highlighted with a paper stump to get nice definition of the letters)
Her heart embellishments are metal....

As are the screw bolt feet......
Her most fabulous disco ball 'topper' is a door knob from B&Q...love it!!....
Really heavy glass, and it sparkles in the light...fab bargain at £3!!
So, why not pop over to the wondrous Julias place  and see everyone who has braved the 'show me your desk' today!!!!
Have a fabulous week everyone!!

Long time no see...!!! (and Craft Stamper!)

Well, I was away last week doing all things painty and crafty, so poor old blog has been really neglected for a while. Today is the start of a renewed effort to get things going again...!

The June issue of Craft Stamper magazine is here, and its a great issue! Lots of Jubilee themes and masculine makes going on, you need to get it and see!
I have two projects in there this month. Firstly is a masterclass using Ice Resin. Fabulous stuff, you soooooo need to get some and play. Its not just for jewellery makers! Sneek peek...
The little girl you can see is part of an Ice Resin tile..... and yes, Trish made flowers! eeeek! There's still painty stuff in there too so wasn't TOO much of a departure from the norm! Which brings me to my second project! Back to what I adore, painty background effects....
This is part of a card I made using the free stamp on the cover. The most marvellous swirl from Jennie at The Artistic Stamper . Their stamps are fabulous..... Check out their blog next month, I'm honoured to be the guest designer for June!
So, all that remains for me to do is show you the cover so you can drool some more (especially over that cover picture, that project from Jean (of Crafty Individuals ) is to die for!
For more info, please go look at the Craft Stamper web site!
Until tomorrow..
