Happy Wednesday everyone!!!
Still rainy...still cold.....and only two more days before the children break up from school and need to be entertained! arrrggghhh.......
But before all that....my desk today... (well, late last night anyway, its not going to change unless the tidy up fairies appear when i'm sleeping!!)
Apart from the paint, not a very 'me' desk! Pearls and pink flowery fabric????what??!!!
Just finished making another workshop sample.....
I'm going to try and ease the lovely ladies of Blackpool into torso assemblage gently.....via a pink and girly flowery theme.... Not 100% sure I like it really, but it is exactly what I had in mind for the class, so it'll do the job!
Well, thats me for today...why not hop on over to Julias place and check out the other 200 or so desks being shown today!!!
Oh and don't forget....have a little look at the top of the sidebar on the right! I'm having a
little givaway featuring my new DVD.....Click the pic to see all the
details, and feel free to share with your blogging buddies, you don't
need to be a follower of mine to enter! *reminder- leave a comment on the giveaway post, NOT this one to be entered into the draw!*
Love Trish xxxx

ReplyDeleteHi Trish, the torso is amazing, I have one just painted plain white, waiting for inspiration - and now I have it! Thank you and thanks for the visit earlier. I am already in the draw, but if I don't win I am going to buy it anyway - you are a clever lady....Anne x #9
ReplyDeletethank you Trish - hope I also came and said thank you for your Facebook support - thank you a second time here if not.
ReplyDeleteThe torso is gorgeous, and I know what you mean, doing stuff to please a class is a real challenge, and often we are at our most critical of our own work when trying to please others rather than our selves..., be confident - they will love it...the wings are perfection
dxxx thanks for coming my way earlier
I'm mad about dress forms at the moment, so I LOVE this torso. It looks just fine to me.Love the colours, wings- everything!

Very pretty. I am of a more steampunk leaning but I can totally appreciate pretty, well done. It's the bit of green that makes it work. Very fresh and summery ('cos goodness knows the view out my window IS NOT!)

I like the colours of the dress form - they're summery even if the weather is not!! And I'm just having to be careful pennies wise at the moment so I am going to recycle as much as I can beadwise....

Lovely torso, I'm sure the ladies of Blackpool are going to love it. Pink is not my favourite colour either but teamed with green, pearls, flowers and flourishes it immediately becomes more acceptable :) Thanks for popping over to mine. Elizabeth x #75

ReplyDeleteLove the torso, but too girly for me! I need something WAY more gothic and dark..... might just have to have a furtle around and see what I come up with...
