Hello!
Are we enjoying the Olympics? I totally love it...and I'm that sad I've scheduled the crafting in around the times when I need to be on the sofa! My studio doesn't get the best wireless signal, my laptop keeps buffering at all the important bits, so have given up trying to create and watch at the same time!!!
Anyway, on to the business at hand...my desk....
Another 'aftermath' picture!! More paint than you can shake a stick at (yes, guilty of buying huuuuuge bottles of my most used colours!!) This weeks challenge to myself is to do at least three things in a row that DON'T have a figure image on them! The last two things I've shown have had a heart as a focal point, and the thing I've finished making has flowers...so I win my challenge!
Here is the flower 'thing'....
More circular than flowers, really.....maybe I've got Olympic rings on the brain!
Painted, text covered, canvas board, with lots of printing and stamping...
Bottle top printing around the circles, with dots and doodles added..
Simple computer generated text to finish..
So, now you've seen mine (oo-err!!) why not look at some more? Pop on over to Julias blog , you'll find a whole heap of inspiration!!!!
My DVD giveaway closes on August 5th, so there are only a few days left to enter....Click the link on the top right of my sidebar for details! Good Luck!
Love Trish xxx

Love your canvas Truch, the colours are gorgeous and those flowers are amazing, I love the whole thing. Also glued to the Olympics, fortunate to have a computer monitor that is also TV so I can switch between the two and craft at the same time, although not done much with the Oympics. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #58

ReplyDeleteCanvas looks good...great colours. good design!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that canvas! I saw your DVD advertised in CS - tempted by it but if it's like Kate's DVDs they won't play n my Mac :( Too annoying to watch it in the lounge on the TV then dash to my desk to play, back to the lounge, back to my desk.... Bah humbug!
ReplyDeleteNot enough reason to get a PC tho' :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the great comment - you're one up on me because I haven't started saving my baby wipes yet! I'm not in a sewing phase at the moment, but I'm going to start saving them because I think they might melt well.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like my little box. I want to do more of these.
I'm planning to do some blog posts on using up our old rubbish - a great challenge to us all, and it gives such a good feeling when you create something beautiful form what most people would throw in the bin without a second thought.

We love your circle creations, and your desk looks quite organised
ReplyDeleteThe bears # 98
love the Olympics, the pictures of Uk and most of all the Q and her stage debut proving that there is a life after ruling!
ReplyDeleteOh I love what you do with paint, it really scares me. Perhaps I ought to get your DVD - LOL. BJ#76
ReplyDeleteHi Trish, Thank you for popping by, I absolutely love your work. That's a great idea to put rings on the bottom of your baskets on the studio door. Genius! With regards to your desk, you can never have too much paint, the more the better, and the more you have on your hands rather than a brush the better too! Your flowers are awesome. Michelle x #127
ReplyDeleteLove the pieces on here and the previous two posts. you are always so innovative.

LOVE the colours and designs here Trish!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW, Di x #11
I love your flower 'thing' - very retro but fab! And I've got Olympic mania too, sorted out my birthday beads into my new bead case while watching Bradley Wiggins ride his heart out!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ #1 xx
I love those flowers, they are so bright, just perfect.
ReplyDeleteSince we are ahead of you in the times thing, I get to watch the Olympics at night. Only trouble is the really good stuff is on around 4.30am, so don't get to see them live. I did see the two British girls win the rowing last night, that was fantastic.
Have a great week.
Von #35

ReplyDeleteI'm having a giveaway, open worldwide this week too! Come check it out if you get the chance!

ReplyDeleteHey trish,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog glad you liked my little house, it was a blast to make. In fact collecting the bits to make it was fun too.
Just joined your blog as don't have time to look at mo but keep meaning to have a go with the whole mixed media thing. Just always have other projects on the go these days.. I will have to set a day aside soon to play with all my paints and inks. Love your stuff.

Wow! I love this! and loving the colours you have used! Not sure if you've tried this.... but if your trying to watch the olympics on the BBC website, if you try the "pop out player" it streams much better, the picture isn't as big but that's how I've been watching when crafting as the normal player just kept getting stuck! :o) x April #89
ReplyDeleteI've been following a bit of the Olympics on the BBC News site but haven't seen much of it at all! Love the flowers, they look like a modern interpretation of a Rennie Mackintosh painting.
