Hello!
For my Creative Expressions DT project this week, I've made a canvas. Lots of flowers...
I've called it my 'waxy canvas' because there's a lot of beeswax on it! Not something that is obvious in pictures, but its there!
The flowers are from the gorgeous Heartfelt Creations plate " Mini Vintage Floret". I stamped each of the three designs onto cardstock that I had painted first. I used three colours of paint, Eco Green colours Ocean, Lime and Waterfall. Once stamped and cut out, I dipped each flower into melted beeswax. This gives a nice thick flower, with a matt finish. Very tactile!
The canvas itself was painted with the same three colours, along with a touch of white! Once dry, I added some white stamped tissue, using the fab chicken wire background. I also added the quote from the Special Sentiments Umount plate...
I stamped the flourish from the Funky Floral plate onto acetate, then added them to the corners of the canvas....
I added feet to my canvas too...rolled up spirals of paper covered with text paper....
A little door knob to the top, and it was done!
See you again next week with another flowery project!

This is beautiful, the stamping white on tissue, flourish on acetate (must try this), the colours are just dreamy, flowers are gorgeous & addition of feet (rolled paper, really? You are so creative) with the door knob to finish it off - love it all, WISH I had your creativity & ability to do project after project!! :))
