Daisy!

(yes I know its supposed to be an aster....artistic license?!)
Hello! This weeks project for Creative Expressions features the same stamp I used last week. I wanted to show you just how versatile they can be, simply by switching colour schemes you get a whole new look....

The layout is very similar too, but just look at how a fresh and clean image can look against a grunged up tag!The daisy (or aster!) is from the Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters set, and was very simply stamped onto white card with black ink. I coloured the centre with yellow paint, then cut it out.
The tag background was created by scraping layers of paint onto the white surface. I used yellow first, then the blue. Once those layers were dry, I lightly brayered the surface with black paint.
A little painty stamping, namely the plaid background and the chicken wire background, then I splatted it with black paint!
I did a little stitching around the edge of the tag to frame it.....
and I also used some random stitching as the stem of my flower..
Some 3D letters formed the word, then it was done!
You may notice the orange bits...... this was an accident, the brayer got smeared with orange paint before I used it! Not what I had intended, but could have been worse!!!
See you next week with another make featuring these fab stamps!
Love Trish xxx

  8. Had you not said about orangey bits, wouldn't have noticed but now?... Lol. Seriously, think it's a HAPPY accident!
I adore this, the colours are beautiful. Brilliant stitching, really wish I could afford a sewing machine (there's a sentence I never thought I'd write). The way you create is so cool & you make it seem so easy, it's encouraging! Love it! TFI, enjoy your weekend.. :))
